I'm torn between these two ideas for the final cover, I have slightly adjusted the composition of the logo type to resolve the negative space issue, I have separated the 'L' and the 'F' which managed ending up looking from the rest of the logo this then left me space and more freedom to more the 'funk' more tighter in to help look more retro with the tight kerning which I have adjusted on photoshop using the 'character' menu. The uppercase lettering default kerning was too wide and looked as if it wasn't part of the word. I think for my final I am going to choose the design with the saxophone image as it relates more to the band and gives the viewer/audience a deeper understanding to what style of music the album contains although the design with just the typography it still signifies retro and a vintage design adding the saxophone adds that extra detail that will let the viewer have a definite opinion/knowledge of the album genre.
