In photoshop I used he cutout filter on an image given my the band which gave this simplistic stamp look  linking well with the saxophone stamp. I used shades of browns and dark reds to create some contrast as I think it was looking a little flat it needed something to lift the design off the page. I flipped the image horizontally so the image was following the 'explosion.'
