Different approach

Obviously this is a mock up which also seems to be in a low quality format. I tried a different approach, I was still thinking a long the lines of Mardi Gras and the party vibe then thought of bright lights. I followed a tutorial on creating this effect, however I didn't do it to the best composition possible I was just trying it out and seeing if the idea works. The overall theme of this cover to me portrays a disco atmosphere rather than a jazz funk vibe. It's more iconic eighties pop than jazz funk, I would of liked to of gone down this route and played around with what I could achieve with this but it's the wrong style, so I will have to leave it here.
