I'm trying to create the idea of a music/sound explosion, the band wanted an upbeat theme, using a mix of bright bold colours shows that it's loud fun and upbeat whereas if they did more slow jazz songs I would using more swaying simplistic illustrations/ideas. to the left I have used random colours that i felt mixed well together, below I have used the original orange mix that I begun with. This time I made sure all the different shads of colour were on their own layer, so all the yellows where on one layer and so on. So that I could easily change the hue/saturation to get a mix of colours. To the left i used the colour palette given earlier for 'Mardi Gras' from the colour lovers website using purples green and yellow personally I think it looks hideous and doesn't not resemble Mardi Gras at all, maybe if I added more symbolic elements to this it may work.
